Radivoj Bogičević studied at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade where he graduated at the Department of Graphic art. In early 1960s he began to collaborate with the Dečje novine publishing house. He was an animator in Zastava film for four years and then got employed by TV Beograd as an advertisement animator. He is best known for his comic series ‘Akant’.
