Michel Koeniguer

Koeniguer (1971) is one of the younger generation French comics artists. Fascinated by comics from an early age, he spent a lot of time copying works by his favourite authors. After completing a preparatory course at the Strasbourg School of Arts and Design, he fell ill and spent most of his recovery time behind his drawing desk. Later, he studied plastic arts in Strasbourg, but had to drop out for financial reasons. In the 1990s he worked with a number of fanzines, until he created his series ‘Bushido’ in 2002. Both drawn and written by Koeniguer, the series was published by Pointe Noire in the album format.
