Petar Meseldžija

Petar Meseldžija (1965) graduated from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, with a degree in painting. He began his career in 1981, having the comic strip ‘Krampi’ published in Stripoteka. During his studies he continued to work on comics and illustrations. In 1991 he illustrated his first book Peter Enkorak, published by Mladinska knjiga. At the end of 1991 he moved to Netherlands. He stopped working on comics and dedicated himself to illustration and painting. He painted 10 book covers for children’s fantasy literature for the American publisher Scholastic Inc. His book The Legend of Steel Bashaw was published in 2008. The book features his own illustrations as well as a story written by him based on the Serbian folk tale Baš Čelik.
