Oto Reisinger (1927) started to have his work published in Studentski list at the age of 18 and he was a permanent collaborator of Kerempuh weekly humor magazine between 1946 and 1950. His works have been published by many foreign magazines: Quick (Germany), Panorama (Netherlands), Nebelsplater (Switzerland), Punch (UK). He exhibited in Amsterdam, Zagreb, London, Dortmund and Ankara and worked in the USA, Canada and Australia. He is one of the few cartoonists to have caused an international protest at the level of statesmen; Soviet president Khrushchev complained to Tito about one of his cartoons where he was making fun of Stalinism. He achieved great popularity with the comic ʾŠtefekove pustolovineʾ, which ran in Plavi vjesnik between 1964 and 1966.
