Ante Zaninović (1934-2000) graduated from Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb with a degree in painting. From 1960 he worked in Zagreb Film. He is the author of numerous short animated films, of which The Wall from 1965 is considered to be the best. In 1968 he won Grand Prix in Locarno for the animated film O rupama i čepovima. In 1968 and 1969, together with Zlatko Grgić and Boris Kolar, he was working on the animated series Professor Baltazar. He also directed two short feature films Weekend and Good Morning Son.
