Nikola Maslovara (1946) graduated from the College of Education, Department of Fine Arts in Novi Sad. He has been drawing caricatures since 1969 and comics since 1971. From 1979 onwards he was the art director in the comics department at Dečje novine. His works were also published in Politikin zabavnik, Biser strip, Strip zabavnik, Yu strip, Gigant. His notable comic heroes include ‘Detektiv Lakonogić’, ‘Fijuksi’, ‘Ungl-gungl’, ‘Mrka’ and ‘Barba Plima’.
